Random facts

Cindy tagged me to post five random facts about myself. I'm probably making this more difficult than it should be, because I can't really think of anything. But I'll try ...

1.) I'm a little afraid of babies. They're so small and can be really hard to please. I think I'm afraid I'll break one or something. My niece is helping me with this one, though.

2.)I love finding bargains, especially at flea markets or antique stores, and I take some pride in finding one. I paid less than a quarter for my favorite piece of jewelry, a (genuine) silver and marcasite ring.

3.)I have two journals -- one for writing, and one for creating collages.

4.)I hate politics. I think they make people act like children.

5.)I lapse into English speech patterns after I watch movies with English actors.

Okay, I know I'm supposed to tag people to do this. But I'm sadly behind in the world of blogging, and so the few people I know have already been tagged. Sorry. I have some friends on Xanga, but I don't think they read this. So ... sorry; I forfeit.

1). Me, too, until I had one of my own. Absolutely.

2). Next time Great Scott has to go to Columbia for a seminar, I'll be coming with him to see your favorite bargain haunts!

3). We didn't know you did collages! Wow.

4). This one made me laugh out loud.

5). We had a friend from England that stayed with us for a week. When she left, she had lost some of the edge on her accent, and we were speaking much more crisply than before her arrival. Funny how we do this, isn't it? (And fun, too.)
